Clinical Presentation

Characterised by a full range of passive movement and pain on resisted lateral rotation

* The lesion is usually at the tenoperiosteal insertion on the greater tuberosity. The following options are possible:

 

* Exceptionally the lesion is located in the musculotendinous junction. In this case, apart from resisted lateral rotation, no other tests are painful.
