The answer to this question is important when capsular pattern is present:
Symptoms appearing after a trauma (direct-indirect) indicate a traumatic arthritis;
Pain developing progressively and without apparent reason points in the direction of monarticular steroid-sensitive arthritis. .
A tendinitis may have a spontaneous onset or is due to overuse.
A tendon rupture usually results from an indirect trauma.
A chronic Subdeltoid Bursitis may develop either spontaneously or after a (direct) trauma.
