Acute Bursitis with Calcium Deposits
History and Evolution
The bursitis results from migration of calcium deposits from the tendons into the subacromial bursa.
Sudden and unprovoked pain and limitation of movement.
Pain at rest and nocturnal pain.
Extreme tenderness over the deltoid muscle
Spontaneous evolution over two to three weeks.
There is some tendency to recurrence.
