Shoulder Girdle: Examination
Active elevation of both scapulae is positive
A complete functional examination must be performed if , during the preliminary examination, there is pain and/or limitation
on active elevation of the scapulae.
Full examination consists of active, passive and resisted movements.
The combination of positive and negative answers points in the direction of a lesion of either an inert or a contractile structure.
