7* Resisted Pronation

Execution

  1. The examiner stands in front of the patient.
  2. The patient's forearm is held in 90° of flexion and in the neutral
    position between pronation and supination (thumb up).
  3. The examiner's ipsilateral hand, held in supination, is placed under
    the patient's distal forearm.
  4. The contralateral hand, held in pronation, is placed on top.
  5. The patient is asked to perform a pronation movement
  6. The examiner gives resistance with the heels of both hands on the
    palmar aspect of the radius and the dorsal aspect of the ulna respectively.

Remarks

Make sure the fixation is correct in order to prevent any movement during the resisted movement.
