History and Evolution
An inflammation of the bursa between biceps tendon and radius is a rare condition.
The pain is felt at the anterior aspect of the elbow, probably with some
radiation down the front of the forearm.
Pain on rotation movements.
Passive flexion, extension and supination are full range and painless.
Passive pronation is painful, maybe slightly limited with a softer endfeel.
The resisted movements are painless and strong.
One or two injections with 20 mg triamcinolone.
The same technique is used as for the biceps tendinitis but the
infiltration is done somewhat more proximally between the tendon
and the bone of the radius.
There is no bony contact and almost no tissue resistance during the infiltration.
