The Elbow

Technique:

• The patient lies prone , with a small pillow under the supinated elbow.
• Palpation of the corner between the lateral condyle of the humerus, the head of the radius and the olecranon.
• The needle is inserted just lateral of the olecranon border and aimed slightly oblique under the olecranon.
• Two cc is injected without tissue resistance.
