The flexors of the wrist take their origin in a common flexor tendon at the medial condyle (1)
The superficial layer consists of
flexor carpi ulnaris (2)
palmaris longus (3)
flexor carpi radialis (4)
and the humeral head of the pronator teres muscle (5)
The direction of the fibres is distally and slightly radial.
The deep layer of the common tendon is formed
by the tendon fibres of the flexor digitorum longus.
