Triceps tendinitis - Clinical Presentation

Occurence

Is an uncommon lesion. sometimes as an overuse phenomenon in volleyball players
and weight lifters;
Occasionally after holding the elbow stretched for longer periods ( cyclists)

Clinical Examination

Full range of passive movement, sometimes with pain at the end of the passive extension
(impingement of the tendon between humerus and olecranon).
The resisted extension of the elbow is painful.
