Clinical Examination of the Shoulder Girdle

Active movements

The patient is asked to:

  • shrug both shoulders
  • bring both shoulders backwards
  • and bring both shoulders forwards.

Attention is paid to pain, range of motion and abnormal sensations such as crepitus.
