Local Treatment
The diagnosis should be confirmed via an infiltration with a
local anaesthetic ( 5 to 10 cc of a 0.5% procaine solution).
Should the injection effect some permanent cure after a week,
one or two more procaine-infiltrations will give a complete and
lasting relief.
Usually there is only a diagnostic response. The patient must
then be referred for a treatment with deep transverse massage.
Normally the lesion responds to four - six sessions (three
sessions a week).
