Treatment
Traumatic arthritis recovers spontaneously but this may take several months (6 to 12 months).
The treatment of choice consists of two intra-articular injections with 20 mg of triamcinolone.
The injections are given with an interval of two weeks.
Equipment: a thin needle, 3 to 4 cm long (50/8 or 40/7), a 2 ml syringe
Product: 20 mg of triamcinolone-acetonide - 2 ml of a 10mg/ml solution
