Treatment of minor instability

  1. Provide a firm fundament:
    Fixation of the scapula must be optimal. Therefore, train the strength of the muscles of the shoulder girdle:
    • trapezii (middle portion),
    • serratus anterior,
    • rhomboids
    • pectoralis minor.
    In the beginnig only isometric exercises , later also isotonic contractions.
    However, do not use long levers - only the muscles of the shoulder girdle and the humerus stays alongside the trunk are trained.
  2. Training of strenght and propriocepsis of the antagonists of the deltoid:
    Latissimus dorsi and Pectoralis major.
    In the beginning only isometric exercises, later on also isotonic, and finally coordination- exercises (training of contractions of the antagonists during active abductions.
  3. Proprioceptive exercises
    for the rotator cuff muscles
