Loose Body in Adulthood
Manipulation in pronation
Starting position
The patient adopts the sitting position on a couch.
The manipulator stands level with the bent elbow
of the patient. An assistant steadies the patient's
thorax with a hand on the lower ribs.
The upperarm is fixed just proximal to the elbow.
The elbow is bent to a right angle.
The manipulator puts his contralateral foot exactly under the elbow of the patient.
He grasps the patient's lower forerarm just proximally to the wrist in such a way that both thumbs are next to each other on the dorsum of the forearm. (not on the wrist!)
